The Juice Hive’s Shiso Leaf Kimchi and Low Country Kimchi have both been named finalists in the 2018 Good Food Awards national food competition, which recognizes food producers based on both taste and sustainability criteria!
We are thrilled to have been selected as a finalist for the Good Food Awards, and honored for both our food’s taste and sustainability. Our Low Country Kimchi is an extremely popular menu item at The Juice Hive and our Shiso Leaf Kimchi is a featured product with many specific health benefits, including being an excellent source of probiotics.
This is a great honor for those of us who are working to push our food systems towards craftsmanship and sustainability while enhancing our agricultural landscape and building strong communities. The Good Food Awards Seal, found on winning products, assures consumers they have found something exceptionally delicious which also supports sustainability and social good.
The Good Food Awards is the first national initiative to recognize food producers based on both taste and sustainability criteria. The Awards distinguish food producers committed to strengthening the sustainable food industry through the creation of ‘tasty, authentic, and responsible’ foods. In its eighth year, Good Food Awards will be given to winners in 15 categories: beer, cider, charcuterie, cheese, chocolate, coffee, confections, preserved fish, honey, oils pantry, pickles, preserves, spirits and elixirs. Awards will be presented to producers from each of five regions of the U.S. The Good Food Awards Seal, found on winning products, assures consumers they have found something exceptionally delicious which also supports sustainability and social good. Products will be judged on three main criteria: taste, authenticity and responsible production.
